AWESOME at a great price Aug 31, 2008 I've used numerous other Multi-effects units in the past, like the PodXT, Behringer V-Amp, Digitech RP-80s etc, but this new Digitech RP350 blows all the others away. This thing blows the PodXT out of the water, making it sound tinny and weak. the RP350 Amp modelling in particular is second to none, particularly with the Vox AC15 and AC30 amp models. Since I play a lot of U2 songs, the AC30 is the amp model of choice, and I can get tones from this unit that would be hard to tell apart from the real songs. Very impressive. It could use a Wah Wah effect driven by the pedal which seems missing (at least I havent found it yet) but overall a good bit of kit. The software hookup allows you to record direct to a PC or to use the PC to set up patches with greater ease. Its not a board for big gig use if you need to switch sounds on the fly... there are better options out there, but for getting great, full body tones out, it can't be beat in my opinion.

Good Sounds but Limited Flexibility Aug 04, 2007 The amp simulators alone make the Digitech RP350 worth the price of admission. No piece of solid state equipment can capture all of the nuances of tube gear, but this thing comes reasonably close.
The main limitation I found is that you can run only ONE effect at a time from the Chorus/FX module (delay and reverb are in a separate module). So running chorus and flange together is impossible. Ditto with phaser and pitch shift. I would strongly recommend visiting the Digitech website and downloading the manual so that you know exactly what you are getting. The website also has clips of the presets, though actually playing one would of course be better.
My only other gripe is that the Marshall Plexi simulation could use a higher maximum gain level. You have to mate it with a distortion pedal simulation to get a decent among of distortion. I prefer my Tech 21 Sansamp GT2 for 70s hard rock sounds.
For the price, this was well worth it for me. I just hope Digitech makes future models with two FX modules instead of only one.
