Each plug is plated with 24-karat gold and has 8 compression springs that insure positive contact with the mating jack and eliminating any annoying static. The plugs also have a rigid plastic molded directly over a copper cylinder surrounding the soldering points for maximum protection. A soft, ergonomically shaped plug housing is then overmolded throughout the plug, offering supreme strain relief.
