Our 2 year old daughter LOVES this drum. (So does our 10 month old son). It's better quality and sound than I expected. It's light enough she can pick it up and move it, and it's not terribly loud. The mallets are perfect for her and seem safe enough if our son gets ahold of one. If we want more drums, we'll get them from remo kids percussion.

Wow!!! I got this for my daughter for Christmas. I haven't given it to her yet, but I had to try it out. What a great sound! Very impressed with the tone and the construction for the price. Highly recommended!!!

My 21 month old son loves this drum! It's sturdy and makes a great sound, not at all like a toy drum. This is a REAL drum. He uses it as a little seat too.

This wonderful drum was given by grandparents to their grandson on his 1st birthday. Wow -- the response was instantaneous and robust. Who would have expected that any present would hold attention much longer than 30 seconds, but for well over five minutes the facination rolled on -- for the birthday boy and for his older cousins. Something primal and wonderful about drums, and this one seems to be ideal for the age group.

This is one of my kids favorite toys of all time. The drum itself is very durable. Both of my kids have stood on it - and beat it like you wouldn't believe and it still looks brand new (besides the crayon marks all over the top). Last Christmas, I bought my kids many instruments and this is by far one of the best purchases that I made. My now 1-year old son has loved playing with this for the past 6 months. At first, he would only use his hands to beat it and now he uses the mallets. My daughter also loves to play lots of songs for me. Great purchase!
