5Simple to Use  Jan 04, 2009
I am new to the violin and this made it a lot easier. The function is very simple to understand and I picked up on it pretty fast. The overall appearance is very simple to understand that I didn't have to read the instructions. Some things I still need to learn though like time signatures and the like I will have to wait on. For me being a beginner it just made things more simplified for me to learn and the price isn't that bad compared to others. The only thing that caught me was how small it was since I was expecting something about the size of my palm. Its actually smaller and makes it easier to carry around without taking up to much space. I am self teaching so it is very nice to learn to count beats and keep pace with either no beeps and a flashing light or beeps depending on what I need at my own pace. The beep can be annoying and the volume choices aren't really there but still not a big deal. I am a beginner like I said so this is new to me but I would recommend this to beginners looking for a good somewhat cheap metronome with good enough features to get you started.

5Very easy to use  Nov 30, 2008
Not needed to read even a single line of the instruction manual. I use it for setting my running cadence. Haven't tested it yet in noisy roads, but it sounds pretty clear and loud.

5Seiko DM-50 metronome  Aug 13, 2008
Compact with some great features, this replaces one of its older bretheren. Couldn't be happier with it.

4Works great, small, light, various options  Apr 04, 2008
Pros--This is a great metronome. Selectable sounds and loudness, very easy to use. Very light and it clips nicely.
Cons--I can't believe such a simple device is so expensive. It can't possibly cost more than 1 dollar to manufacture. Based on pictures, and price, I would imagine it would have a metal casing, but it is painted plastic

Overall--compared to many out there this is just great! In funtionality I would have given it 5 stars, but I am just giving it 4 due to cost and the how cheaply made it is (I thought about giving it 3, however it does what I want it do do perfectly).

By the way I use this one to run (helps me keep a fast cadence) so its small form factor and clip are priceless.

5Favorite metronme  Mar 13, 2008
This is the best metronome I have ever owned. 30-250 beats per minute, adjustable by increments of 1's and 10's, subdivisions available, volume capability is high, battery lasts a long time. Couldn't ask for much more.

Cons: It's so easy to lose!
